What?

Aaní is a word of Tupi origin, meaning “No, Nothing”. It is equivalent to the Greek word Xáos (Chaos), of same meaning. The concept of Chaos was corrupted by time and ignorance, by moralism and the response that “Consensus Reality” gave to movements like Bakunin’s Anarchism, transforming this concept into a synonym for “disorder.” Nowadays, it is known through Quantum Science that Chaos is not clutter, turmoil, or street riot, but it refers to the unpredictability of primordial empty space. Chaos, Aaní, can not be defined, for to do so would deny it. However, the closest we can get from its abstract equivalence is to regard it as the endless vastness of possibilities that permeates the Cosmos. We are undeniably within this “anything potential” and it is within us.The purpose of this Movement, Project, Agglomeration, Reduction, Achievement, Bad Acceptance, or any other word that can define this thing that we think is to properly name Aaní is precisely to explore, diffuse, create, destroy and re-create these concepts and apply them in the areas of Plastic Arts, Literature, Music, Journalism, Information Technology, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Mythology, Religious Expression and other fields that may arise midway.

Why did Alexander the Great leave globalizing Macedonia, the Middle East, and the World of his time? Why did the Feminists organize themselves at the end of the last century aiming at rights equal to those of men? Why did Aleister Crowley revolutionize the occult scene of England and the rest of the West in the early twentieth century? Why did they overthrow the Dictatorship? What was Rock n ‘Roll, Punk and Hip Hop for? Why?

Because the human being changes. And if this change don`t takes off naturally, it can be provoked. Many people complain of violence, disregard for the environment, lack of freedom, alienation, corruption of government, apathy of contemporary art, lack of opportunity, economic elitisation of knowledge and information, and can not Nor can they do anything by themselves. Because Politics, Morals, Ethics, the scale of Freedom, Justice, Belief, Acceptance or Rejection of ideas and ideals of a people, are all determined by their Dominant Culture. It is impossible, or at least very difficult, to change these results (Politics, Belief, etc.) of synthesized cultural processes without changing the structural basis of these processes, namely: Culture.It is that which determines and regulates behavior, clothing, artistic expression, religion, laws, form of government, the production and transmission (or blocking) of information, what can and can not. As these dominant cultures, over time, come to accept better the scenes of nudity in the cinema; Explicit language in public; Allow women to vote, direct and work; That the homosexuals exchange caresses in public; That a fifteen-year-old girl spreads that she is a witch without being burned; That people get tattooed, put piercings and silicone on the forehead; What men dress up; That top models get pregnant with football players, or a rock star, to slice up their fortune and be invited to present TV shows; And other taboos are being broken, the counterculture movements, originated by subcultures, are being absorbed by these Dominant Cultures, allowing new subcultures to emerge to replace their precursors. The Aaní exists because it knows that, and wants, sooner or later, these subcultures to hybridize and allow themselves to exchange information, to expand their acting and acceptance, so that new subcultures appear.

How?

Through memes. Meme is a term coined in 1976 by Richard Dawkins in his bestseller “The Selfish Gene,” which is to memory the gene analogue in genetics: its a minimum unit. It is considered as a unit of information that multiplies (is transmitted) from brain to brain, or between places where information is stored, and other storage locations or brains. The meme is considered a unit of cultural evolution that can somehow self-propagate. It can be ideas or parts of ideas, languages, slang, sounds, drawings, abilities, aesthetic and moral values, or anything else that can be easily learned and transmitted as an autonomous unit. What determines its self-propagation is the ease with which it is absorbed and propagated, as well as its ability to transmute.
Clear examples of memes are Cellphones, Mp3 Players, I-Pods, I-Phones, Tamagoshis, Staplers, Advertising Slogans, Bad Music Choruses (Do not Go Out of the Head), or Commercial Jingles, Woman with little clothes in beer commercial, ,“God is Great”, “Do what thou wilt shall be of the Law”, “Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted”, Jokes, Proverbs and Aphorisms, Metaphors, Formulas for Decorating the Periodic Table and Equations, marks and styles of clothes, Parodies, Puns, Sentences of double meaning, Placing the First Letter of each Word in Capital Letter to Denote Importance, LOCK CAPS LOCK TO SCREAM, spam, junk, forward Power Point, Books, Fridge Magnet, Lullaby, et cetera. Phenomena such as Orkut, My Space, Yahoo Groups, Skype, Wikis, Subcultures, Religions, Political Theories, Lan Houses and Dance Clubs are called memeplexes (sets, complexes of memes). The concept of the Memeplex is similar to that of the Paradigm, forged by Thomas Kuhn and put into practice by Peter Carroll. The singular difference between Paradigm and Memeplex is that while the former can be created by an individual without ever being transmitted, the latter lacks transmission.
The study of evolutionary models of information transfer is known as memetics. These evolutionary models undergo variations, in which an idea or meme changes as it is transferred from one person to another. Few memes show a strong Memetic Inertia (which would be the meme’s characteristic of being expressed in the same way, and having the same impact, regardless of who is receiving or transmitting the idea, and remaining in the memory of its propagator). Memetic variation grows when the meme is carelessly transmitted with the expression of the idea, while memetic inertia is strengthened when the form of expression rhymes or uses other mnemonic devices to preserve meme memory prior to transmission.
A mnemonic is a memory aid. They are typically verbal, and used to memorize lists or formulas, and are based on simple ways of memorizing larger constructions, based on the principle that the human mind is more easily memorized when these are associated with personal, spatial, or Of a relatively important character, than data organized in a non-suggestive way (for the individual) or with no apparent meaning. However, these sequences have to make some sense, or they will be equally difficult to memorize (for example, use the bones of the clenched fists to remember which month contains 30 or 31 days - bones are 31, spans between them are 30). Every belief, culture, political preference, sexual preference, lifestyle, and differences of traits they call races are equally idiotic. If you do not see it, it means you’re prejudiced. Or Kabbalist. Never mind this Kabbalist business. The point is that differences can (and should) be respected, tolerated, and even praised. Also, if you are offended by a critique of your belief, culture, political preference, sexual preference, lifestyle, and differences of traits you call races, it means that such ridiculous criticism is greater than you. Identification is necessary, yes, but a very low level of identification is enough to create a chaotic-peaceful-interesting coexistence. No belief, culture, political preference, sexual preference, lifestyle, and differences in traits they call races are better than others. When this is perceived by 1/3 of the world’s population, we will have 1/3 of the Gods on Earth.

O quê?
Aaní é uma palavra de origem Tupi, que significa “Não, Nada”. É equivalente à palavra grega Xáos (Caos), de mesmo significado. O conceito de Caos foi corrompido pelo tempo e pela ignorância, pelo moralismo e pela resposta que a “Realidade Consensual” deu a movimentos como o Anarquismo de Bakunin, transformando este conceito em sinônimo de “desordem”. Hoje, sabe-se através da Ciência Quântica que o Caos não é desordem, baderna ou arruaça, mas refere-se à impreditabilidade do espaço vazio primordial. Caos, Aaní, não pode ser definido, pois fazê-lo seria negá-lo. Entretanto, o mais próximo que podemos chegar de sua equivalência abstrata é considerá-lo como sendo a vastidão interminável de possibilidades que permeia o Cosmos. Nós estamos, inegavelmente, dentro desta “qualquer coisa em potencial” e ela está dentro de nós.
O objetivo desse Movimento, Projeto, Aglomeração, Reduto, Façanha, Acepção Ruim, ou qualquer outra palavra que possa definir essa coisa que achamos por bem nomear Aaní é justamente explorar, difundir, criar, destruir e re-criar estes conceitos e aplicá-los nas áreas das Artes Plásticas, Literatura, Música, Jornalismo, Tecnologia da Informação, Sociologia, Antropologia, Psicologia, Mitologia, Expressão Religiosa e outros campos que possam surgir no meio do caminho.

Por que?
Porque o ser humano muda. E se esta mudança demora a sair naturalmente, ela pode ser provocada. Muitas pessoas reclamam da violência, do descaso com o meio ambiente, da falta de liberdade, da libertinagem alheia, da corrupção do governo, da apatia da arte contemporânea, da falta de oportunidade, da elitização econômica do conhecimento e da informação, e não conseguem nem podem fazer nada sozinhos. Porque a Política, a Moral, a Ética, a escala de Liberdade, a Justiça, a Crença, a Aceitação ou Rejeição de idéias e ideais de um povo, são todas determinadas pela sua Cultura Dominante. É impossível, ou pelo menos muito difícil, conseguir que estes resultados (Política, Crença, etc.) de processos culturais sintetizados sejam alterados, sem antes alterar base estrutural destes processos, ou seja: A Cultura.
É ela que determina e regula o comportamento, o vestuário, a expressão artística, a religião, as leis, a forma de governo, a produção e transmissão (ou bloqueio) da informação, o que pode e o que não pode. À medida que estas Culturas Dominantes, com o tempo, passam a aceitar melhor as cenas de nudez no cinema; a linguagem explícita em público; permitir que mulheres votem, dirijam e trabalhem; que os homossexuais troquem carícias em público; que uma menina de quinze anos espalhe que é bruxa sem ser queimada; que pessoas se tatuem, coloquem piercings e silicone na testa; que homens se maquiem; que top models engravidem de jogadores de futebol, ou de um rock star, para fatiar sua fortuna e serem convidadas a apresentar programas de TV; E outros tabús vão sendo quebrados, os movimentos de contracultura, originados por subculturas, vão sendo absorvidos por essas Culturas Dominantes, permitindo que novas subculturas surjam para substituir suas precursoras. Até que, um dia, estas subculturas (agora parte da Cultura Dominante) se tornem obsoletas e sejam alteradas pelo mesmo processo que recomeça. O Aaní existe porque sabe que, e quer que, cedo ou tarde, estas subculturas se hibridizem e se permitam trocar informações, expandir sua atuação e aceitação, para que novas subculturas apareçam.
Como?
Através dos memes. Meme é um termo, cunhado em 1976 por Richard Dawkins no seu bestseller “O Gene Egoísta”, que é para a memória o análogo do gene na genética: a sua unidade mínima. É considerado como uma unidade de informação que se multiplica (é transmitida) de cérebro em cérebro, ou entre locais onde a informação é armazenada, e outros locais de armazenamento ou cérebros. O meme é considerado uma unidade de evolução cultural que pode, de alguma forma, auto-propagar-se. Podem ser idéias ou partes de idéias, línguas, gírias, sons, desenhos, capacidades, valores estéticos e morais, ou qualquer outra coisa que possa ser aprendida facilmente e transmitida enquanto unidade autônoma. O que determina a sua auto-propagação é a facilidade com que é absorvido e propagado, bem como sua habilidade de transmutar.
Exemplos claros de memes são Celulares, Mp3 Players, I-Pods, I-Phones, Tamagoshis (Lembra? Rs), Grampeadores, Slogans Publicitários, Refrões de música ruim (que não saem da cabeça), ou Jingles de Comercial (Dolly, Dolly Guaraná, Dolly), Mulher com pouca roupa em comercial de cerveja, “56, meu nome é Enéas” e “Lula-lá”, “Deus é Grande” e “Jesus é Fiel”, “Vuco-vuco”, “Merry Meet, Merry Part and Merry Meet Again”, “Faze o que tu queres, há de ser tudo da Lei”, “Nada é Verdadeiro, Tudo é Permitido”, Piadas, Provérbios e Aforismos, Metáforas, Fórmulas para decorar a tabela periódica e equações físicas em Cursinhos Pré-vestibulares, marcas e estilos de roupas, Paródias, Trocadilhos, Frases de duplo sentido, Colocar A Primeira Letra de Cada Palavra em Maiúscula para Denotar Importância, TRAVAR O CAPS LOCK PARA GRITAR COM LETRAS, spam, lixo eletrônico, forward de Power Point, Livros, imã de geladeira, canções de ninar, et cetera. Fenômenos como o Orkut, My space, Yahoo Grupos, Skype, Wikis, Subculturas, Religiões, Teorias Políticas, Lan Houses e Danceterias são chamados memeplexos (conjuntos, complexos de memes). O conceito do Memeplexo é semelhante ao do Paradigma, forjado por Thomas Kuhn e colocado em prática por Peter Carroll. A singular diferença entre Paradigma e Memeplexo é que, enquanto o primeiro pode ser criado por um indivíduo sem nunca ser transmitido, o segundo carece da transmissão.

A variação memética cresce quando o meme é transmitido de uma maneira descuidada com a expressão da idéia, enquanto a inércia memética é fortalecida quando a forma de expressão rima ou usa outros dispositivos mnemônicos para preservar a memória do meme antes de sua transmissão.
Uma mnemônica é um auxiliar de memória. São, tipicamente, verbais, e utilizados para memorizar listas ou fórmulas, e baseiam-se em formas simples de memorizar maiores construções, baseados no princípio de que a mente humana tem mais facilidade de memorizar dados quando estes são associados a informação pessoal, espacial ou de caráter relativamente importante, do que dados organizados de forma não sugestiva (para o indivíduo) ou sem significado aparente. Porém, estas seqüências têm que fazer algum sentido, ou serão igualmente difíceis de memorizar (por exemplo, usar os ossos dos punhos cerrados para lembrar qual mês contém 30 ou 31 dias – ossos são 31, vãos entre eles são 30). Produzir e controlar a forma de um meme, sua propagação e interação com outros memes e memeplexos é produzir níveis de alteração da realidade e, com certas limitações, controlá-la.

Estão convidados a participar e se auto-intitular Aanidi (tupi com plural em latim, para evitar o trocadilho com Aanitas e “Presença de Anita” – se bem que, informando o motivo, já fodeu tudo), Aanidum no singular, todos aqueles que integram subculturas, ou nenhuma delas, mas rejeitam a Cultura Dominante.

A questão é que as diferenças podem (e deveriam) ser respeitadas, toleradas e, inclusive, louvadas. Além disso, se você se deixa ofender por uma crítica à sua crença, cultura, preferência política, preferência sexual, estilo de vida, e diferenças de traços que chamam de raças, significa que essa crítica de tamanho ridículo é maior que você. Identificação é necessária, sim, mas um baixíssimo nível de identificação é o suficiente para criar uma convivência caótico-pacífica-interessante. Nenhuma crença, cultura, preferência política, preferência sexual, estilo de vida, e diferenças de traços que chamam de raças são melhores do que outras. Quando isso for percebido por 1/3 da população mundial, teremos 1/3 dos Deuses na Terra.
